A "boiling notice" isn't anything new to hear, but a water ban is. According to Caller-Times Newspaper of Corpus Chrisiti, City officials has issued a water ban due to complaints about "dirty water". Thursday, December 15, 2016, the city of Corpus Christi received a call about what contaminated the water and where the source came from. City officials has assign the responsibility on Ergon Asphalt and Emulsions, Inc. Valero for contaminating the water with Indulin AA-86, an oil-based petroleum that was released from one of their terminals. The city has recommended the city to use bottled water for all water needs, including washing hands. Local schools have even been closed today, Friday, December 16th, 2016 to ensure that all residents are keeping safe.
